Senior travel options program set

The Orchard Park Senior Center, 70 Linwood Ave., offers many programs for people older than 55 years. Contact the center at 662-6452 to register for programs. The Senior Center director is Debbie Santiago.

Weekly events include bridge at 12:30 p.m. Mondays; mind aerobics at 1 p.m. Mondays; bingo at 1 p.m. Tuesdays; popcorn and a movie at 1 p.m. Wednesdays; knitting at 1 p.m. Thursdays; and pinochle at 1 p.m. Fridays.

Senior travel opportunities — From 1:15 to 3 p.m. Monday, July 17, a meeting will be held on travel groups seniors can join through the Senior Center. Get information on upcoming plans for travel and social activities.

Baseball game — At 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 27, seniors will depart from the Senior Center to attend “Grandparents at the Ballpark” day at Coca-Cola Field. The cost is $20 and includes the ticket, transportation and lunch in a picnic area.

Advanced tai chi at Brush Mountain Park will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays from July 12 through Aug. 30. The cost of the eight-week session is $30.

Ladies exercise program will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from July 10 to Sept. 1. The cost of the eight-week session is $30.

Chair yoga will be held at 10:45 a.m. Mondays from now through July 17. The cost of the eight-week session is $30.

Men’s fitness will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from now until Aug. 3. The cost of the 10-week session is $40.

Mahjong will be held at 1 p.m. Fridays. The meal calendar is as follows: July 17, barbecue pork ribette; July 18, chicken and sausage gumbo; July 19, breaded chicken breast; July 20, meatloaf.
